At UpperCrust, eating healthy doesn’t mean neglecting your taste buds. Customise your sandwich the way you like it: Begin with your choice of sourdough or soft bread; then take your pick from a wide range of fresh fillings and homemade spreads.
Our breads, freshly baked by our sister bakery The Organic Baker, are naturally leavened. Containing no preservatives, additives, flavourings or improvers, they are all natural and good to the very last crumb.
A chic and cosy haven within Raffles Place, UpperCrust is perfect for busy diners who want a quick bite as well as those looking for a place to pause over a satisfying meal.
What’s the story?
While studying down under, UpperCrust’s owners Bernard and Grace Toh were inspired by Australia’s bread culture. Bernard started experimenting with recipes while Grace took on unpaid internships at artisan bakeries. Before long, they mastered the art of artisan baking.
In 2007, they opened The Organic Baker, with the aim to introduce real bread to Singaporeans. Their gourmet sandwich outlet UpperCrust followed in June 2010. Their breads are also carried by gourmet supermarkets and delis all over Singapore.
